‘Chippewa’ stopped by and gave my trail cam a “stay wild” look.
Son of P1 and father of many Santa Monica Mountain lions.
“Yoda” visits the same spot as “Chippewa” a month later. She may have since been collared. (P65?)

Here is a composite image of 2 cougars who passed by my trail cam recently. I’ve nicknamed them "Chippewa" and "Yoda".
“Chippewa” didn’t linger in front of the camera so I only got a few good shots. © Jason Klassi

The young cougar I’ve come to call Comet has been collared and. Comet seems a natural for the spotlight and a good ambassador for the Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing #saveLAcougars
Comet the Cougar appears to be one of the 'official' new kids in the mountains. With the collar and ear tags, I now call him "Bling".
"Bling" will have to prove his merit with the other cougars in this neck of the woods. Looks smart and capable.
